From Left to Right
2. HAUS

5. PBTEEN

When I first saw this trend, I must admit I wasn't jumping for joy as I didn't know how adding camping furniture into your lounge could be a thing?! But, it grew on me the sudden I saw the tan leather mixed with the faux fur throw, it really gave any room that sudden edge. I have included 6 different colours with a mixture of different materials from leather to canvas. Obviously, depending on what material you go for it will have a difference on the price, but I have tried to keep them relatively cheap. However, because the style is becoming so popular I have seen a recent increase in price but if you just search around you can always find a cheaper option.

A LITTLE HISTORY..The first design was by Buenos Aires 1938, by Antonio Bonet, Juan Jurchan and Jorge Ferrari Harody. The chair is also known as the BFK chair which stands for Bonet - Kurchan - Ferrari, but is also known as the Harody Chair.

Below I have shown how some of these styles can work within a room to hopefully give you an idea.. Enjoy!

How To...

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Decorating a small room can be challenging, but by follow these 4 simple steps, you can create a space that is perceived to be a lot larger than it actually is!

The obvious is the use light colours. This works in every size room, light hues instantly bounces any light in the room making it feel brighter. BUT, if you opt for the lighter hues and want to challenge the darker tones... thats fine but add stripes into the room. This way, you can change the perception of the height of a wall or the width depending on the way you position your stripes. Mirror walls and furniture are such a great way of reflecting the room giving it an automatic twin extension! Finally, try not to use any curtains or blinds especially in smaller windows. To make your room feel bigger you want the most light you can get. OBVIOUSLY, I get it if you need them in the bedroom, if you're a light sleeper like myself, no blinds would be the worst!

Following these 4 simple steps will instantly make any room feel that little bit bigger. I hope this helps!

Pinning From Pinterest: Decorate Darker with Confidence.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Dark interiors are usually quite a daring move when decorating a room. This home is designed and styled by Maison Hand in Lyon, shows how to confidently decorate a room with dark walls and fill a room with light. Crazy..right? Keeping the ceiling white, and painting any accents such as the columns white really help break up the room but also make the ceiling feel that little bit higher, drawing your view up. Everything in this room I personally think is beautiful, the furniture really compliments not only each other but the surrounding wall colour.

I have managed to find similar furniture to what I found in this image. If you know any particular pieces that are better replicas of the furniture shown in the home, please leave a link below!

How to make your office space more productive in 3 ways

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I either work at home, or in a studio so I don't have a desired office space as of yet. However, these 3 features are what I would consider when moving into a new office/work space. I think location is key. Pick somewhere where you know you won't get too easily distracted, but will gain a lot of inspiration there. E.g, have an awesome view!

Filling your space with colour is another key feature. If you're an artist, you are not going to want a black painted room as this would totally bring down any light coming in. (you can have it whatever colour - I won't judge) But what I'm trying to say is I think any advice for a good about of productivity is a light and airy space. Especially if you're going to be there for 12+ hours a day, you want the room to keep you awake!

Plants are a really good way of clearing the air in a space. Sometimes if you're working all day and night you atlas want the space you're working in to stay as fresh as you can, keeping you and your mind awake! It can either be a desk plant of a feature wall its your choice. Plants can also be a piece of art within your space, especially something like a feature wall. Artwork is key within your office as its a chance to show of any work you have produced.

I hope this helps anybody thinking about getting and office or moving into a new one!

Pinning From Pinterest: Stockholm Shades of Grey

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, I have had the top image saved on my Pinterest for so long now as I just am in love with this living room in particular. Through a little research I found this these images were actually taken from an estate agents site in Stockholm, Skandia Maklarna. What drew my to this room the light fixture. I struggled so hard to find a replica of this in the exact colour. The room is full of grey shades giving it quite a dominance feel to it, then the space is broken up with the tan sofa and the greens from the light and the plants.

This 'Pinning from Pinterest" has probably been the hardest to find similar/exact pieces of furniture which I think is a good thing, but then harder for people like me trying to re-create it. I always think you should always try and incorporate one of pieces into your home to make it as unique as you can for you. I don't think I have found any pieces that are exactly the same for this image but I have tried to keep it as close as possible!

Travel Tuesdays: Summers in Santorini

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I visited Santorini about two years ago. It was absolutely beautiful as I imagined. I stayed in Fira, and hired a bike to travel around which was really useful! Oia is definitely the prettiest part of the island I thought. As beautiful as the island was, I can say I definitely wouldn't rush back anytime soon. It is definitely a place to see but it isn't something I would like to go back to on a yearly basis. Here are some of my images I took whilst I was there. I hope you enjoy!

Friday Fives: Add copper in your home

About a year ago, I think my love for copper really began, I became a little overboard with it too. So I have created a post of how to add copper into your home.. BUT I would not advise adding absolutely everything yo see here into your home as you do not want a copper overload. Little touches of it here and there can make a room a little bit more fancy!

I hope you Enjoy!

How to..BURN IT!

HUNSETT MILL, UK - PHOTO VIA WILLOW BUILDERS

To counteract my previous beach post of light woods, I wanted to show how you can do the total opposite to your home and still create a a raw, unique feel to a room or house! The term charred wood is also referred to "Shou-Sugi-Ban" which is Japanese. It literally translates to "burnt cedar board".  It can be quite an expensive bit of work if you would like to cover your entire home or fill every room. Also, like anything that includes a lot of technique, I would definitely seek advice and help from a professional as burning wood may seem easy but you do not want to go too far!

I have included some of the main ways you can incorporate charred wood into your home. Such as, Cladding your a section of the exterior of your home. I think charring works really well when you have something to contrast it with. Such as the masonry in the top image. But also it has become popular just doing one floor of a home so you may have the bottom section rendered with the top cladded in charred wood to give a contrast to a particular section of a home. Bringing it into the house also works well interns of feature walls. I think what I like about it most compared to paint of wallpaper is that it give this beautiful, natural texture to a wall that you just wouldn't get from paint/paper.  I wasn't able to find too much pieces of furniture, but I'm sure if you have a research and find somebody to make you a one of piece, it can create a really powerful focal point to a room.

I hope this inspired you to possible add wood into your home in a way you didn't imagine!
